JAMES BLAKE AMONGST MAJESTIC ORGANS

Sitting in almost the back row for James Blake last night didn’t really matter. His softness and charm was crawling through each seat in the intimate Verbrugghen Hall of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music. The only criticism could possibly be the crowd. The couple of “yiews” screamed out, slightly tainted the atmosphere. Didn’t really think it was a “YIEW!” type of show…is that how you spell it? But all was well as Blake salvaged the air of drama with some sweet softly spoken humour.

Not much more can be said except more purring over his quiet presence and genius. The knock out venue and his talent seeping into to perfectly, made this a very special bookmark.

Don’t ever pass up a chance to see him!
